Windows 2003 Servers

Uggle Internet use the Windows 2003 Server operating system on all of our servers.
Websites are hosted on IIS6 with application pool isolation as standard to ensure greater security and speed for each website hosted.
Unlike many hosting companies, we limit the number of websites we host on each server to ensure that server system resources are available when required.
All of our webservers are setup with HTTP compression enabled which cuts down on bandwidth usage and speeds up page loading times.
PHP versions 4 and 5 are installed on all of our webservers, and are updated to the latest versions on a regular basis.
Both ASP.NET versions 1.1 and 2.0 are available on all servers, along with the latest .NET Framework v3 and .NET AJAX Extensions.
FrontPage Server Extensions 2003 are also available.
All of our servers are backed up daily, and on request we are able to restore customer websites back to a specific date.
Our servers are housed within a secure datacentre with 100MBit connection to the internet.
All of our servers are housed behind a firewall and NAT router to ensure security of our servers.

HELM Control Panel

The HELM control panel allows customers to manage all aspects of their hosting accounts from one location, including full control of web resources, scripting languages, email accounts, databases and billing.
Uggle Internet currently use version 3 of the HELM control panel and will be upgrading our systems to version 4 once we are satisfied that it meets our customers requirements.

SmarterMail

Email services are powered by SmartMail version 4.
All emails are scanned for viruses to ensure that no infected emails reach your mailbox. Our antivirus softare is constantly updated to ensure that you are protected from the latest threats.
An advanced SPAM filtering system ensures that unsolicited emails are kept at bay.
POP3 and IMAP is available for all email accounts, along with outgoing SMTP service (with additional port allocation for customers whose ISPs blocks the standard port 25).
An advanced Webmail interface allows you to access your email from any internet connected computer.

MySQL

MySQL4 & MySQL5 databases are available.
All databases are backed up on a daily basis.
Management of MySQL databases can be carried out via a web interface powered by PHPMyAdmin.

Microsoft SQL 2005 Express

MSSQL 2005 Express databases are included with our Core4 account, and can be added to other accounts on request. SQL Express is a great alternative to the more expensive SQL2005 without degrading performance.
Customers are required to backup their own databases.

MyLittleAdmin

myLittleAdmin for SQL Server 2005 is the first web-based management tool specially designed for MS SQL Server 2005.
It lets you manage most objects of your databases and servers, including new objects such as snapshots, schemas, and credentials, etc. through a web browser. Faster than SQL Server Management Studio, its intuitive interface will seduce all users, from the DBAs to the webmasters

Our domain name servers use SimpleDNS software.
Uggle Internet use two separate name servers to direct traffic to your site.
